Princess Theatre Interior Work Video!
South Pittsburg Historic Preservation Society, Inc.
Carolyn Millhiser, Society's secretary, and I visited the theater the afternoon of Friday, December 19, 2008 to see the extent of the work on the interior of the theater and to shoot a short video so that everyone can see how the interior rebuilding by Leatherwood, Inc. has progressed. The stage has now been poured and the wall framing is up. Same for the lobby, concession area, restrooms and office on the ground floor. The second floor framing is mostly all up with a large conference room and projection booth. Wiring is now in the process of being installed. The original murals on the side walls are still being debated on the appropriate method for preservation. Click on the video below to view a walk through and see what we saw. After viewing, please sign the page's guest book and give us your thoughts. Depending on your Internet connection speed, may take a few minutes for page to fully download; please be patient.
