Pictured above is the W. L. Kirkpatrick store at Copenhagen (Richard City) Tennessee in about 1908. It was located near the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway passenger depot. The building burned to the ground on November 21, 1924.

Pictured above in early 1908 is the construction of the new Dixie Portland Cement Company plant at Copenhagen, Tennessee. Richard Hardy was instrumental in this company and the community, which would soon bear his name, Richard City, Tennessee.
